Choice CleanGear uses a proven wet-wash process that cleans bulky gear without degrading its protective properties. This deep-clean procedure, is safe for virtually all protective fabrics including Nomex, Kevlar, reflective trim, and leather.
STAGE 1: TAK1 Detergent.
This enzyme based detergent breaks down organic bounds present in odor causing contaminants inside the equipment. This first wash on the equipment helps to eliminate some of the awful smell associated with dirty fire gear.
STAGE 2: Penetrator Detergent.
This powerful detergent is designed to work deep into the foam and fabrics of the protective gear breaking down stains and foreign bodies like mucus, blood, sweat, dander, fungus, bacteria and mould that is common place in equipment. The low temperature and neutral PH of the detergent is specifically formulated to work with the Esporta System.
STAGE 3: Signature Additive.
This final fragrance is added to the last rinse of the process to compliment the cleaned equipment with a clean and fresh scent. This signifies that the equipment has completed our sophisticated cleaning process.
There are varying degrees of damage that occur to turnout gear during its life-span. These vary from small rips and tears to large tears, burn holes and severe contamination. The end product, after the wash, inspection and repairs adhere to NFPA standards, and the turnout gear garment is returned to the owner, as good as, if not better than the original. Factory trained Choice CleanGear staff makes all alterations and repairs according to leading safety standard protocols. We will provide you with a written estimate for your approval prior to any repairs are done.
